I want to die, like now. In the previous public post, I meant SYNONYMS but okay, I typed ACRONYMS. Totally got them mixed up. Thank goodness TAN PENG KEONG went to wiki it and showed me the difference. Nice to know someone won't let me live in oblivion for my blunder. Hawhaw. And ho hey! You read my blog!

Moving on, yesterday was a really disturbing day. I was semi stalked in F21 by 2 girls. Thinking that I could not hear them with my headphones on, they were discussing how I "look prettier in the scarletroom pictures". And nice, nobody knows me by my name. I'm known as tinyprint only. Nice, really. Le sigh. Prettiness is a prototype that I will never be able to conform to you know. I mean, if you don't have the basic requirements for being pretty, then that's just all empty talk, isn't it? And by basic requirements, I mean long hair + fair skin + big eyes + thin + false eyelashes + mishmash of other little details. Well, it was quite disturbing but people will always have their opinion of me so I guess that's okay.

I'll confess though. Some days when I wake up and look at myself in the mirror, I'll get shocked to the point where I'll be wide awake.

And to add on to why yesterday was disturbing. The Indian auntie at Sentosa liked me so much she forced me to take a picture with her. Thereby, leaving her Indian perfume scent on my left shoulder. Luckily, it went off after awhile. I don't know whether I should like her for being so cute and funny or to not like her because she loves to grab people's chests. Yes, I've been groped TWICE. Not very pleasant. I'll remember to wear like, breast guards or something, the next time I go inside Sentosa. After that, Jed nearly lost her handphone (why does it feel funny to type Jed). This will be the second time in 2 months that she has nearly lost it. I am considering buying her one of those rubber chain link things just so she won't lose it.Luckily, the nice people at Topshop kept it for us.

She also got a new hoodie. And I'm proud to announce that I have not been shopping for close to 2 weeks. It helps to get 2 separate bank accounts. So you'll be misled into thinking that you're broke when actually, you're not that broke! Good plan for saving, I say.

And to bring my new love for vintage bags to a whole new level, I MUST get this bag.

So pretty and so rare. And vintage! I never used to like vintage but I've developed this fondness for certain vintage items recently.

Listening to John Mayer sing Why Georgia live makes me want to cry. Perfect coupled with a cup of coffee & a good book. Or rainy Sunday mornings. Mmmmm.

Please come, your deranged fan is still waiting for you in Singapore!

When I think about it, I realize how much we're all alike, yet different at the same time. Take our souls out and we'll be no different from each other. Empty shells we all are. As much as we hate to admit it, we all have the same ideals and goals. Minus all the fine details and each and every one of us converges. Our dreams, our aspirations, what we want to achieve before we die, what we seek at every turn and corner, every step. Which makes it really interesting to note that we try so hard to differentiate ourselves when actually, we're all one conglomerate of masses.

Minus the make up, the clothes, the bags. Underneath the veneer of false eyelashes, curled hair, glossy sparkly teeth made straight by metal wires, we're all the same. Anatomically different, maybe, but really, we don't differ much from the next person we lay our eyes on. It's strange but it's true. We all lead the same kinda lives anyway. Live, love, laugh, chase after dreams, die and exit out of this body into another, with no recollection of yesterdays. None at all. So much for memory. Memory stands for nothing when you're dead.

In a strange way, we're all like acronyms. Same yet different. A different arrangement of alphabets; a different arrangement of episodes and situations. But when it comes down to it, the meaning's all the same anyway.

16th july: Gastric flu, everything got pretty bad at work with me vomiting every 7mins, no joke. Big boss sent me to the nearest clinic where this particular father was very nice to give up his place and let me go first because there were like 6 people in the queue in front of me. The day passed really fast with me going to the toilet continuously to vomit and I went home early, slept for awhile and met up with Jacq for, quoted, "the best wanton mee in Singapore", which was at Joo Chiat. She bought me a dress from her trip to bkk/hongkong hoho.

18th july: Adam was really nice to accompany me all the way to the bus stop and even waited with me for my bus, he was supposed to be working kuakua sneaky sneaky + he made me laugh so much on the way out. Met up with jacyln and yizhen in town, bumped into melody (cchms), we talked too much over dinner and it got too late for any shopping to be done, so we homed rather early.

19th july: Accompanied Mingen to his workplace to collect his paycheck, he kept trying to cheer me up because I felt really crappy with my stomach which has yet to recover from the gastric flu. Katong for laksa to satisfy our cravings, went over to his dad's shop at Katong Mall to say hi (hello uncle ar collect keys!) and old school dessert at the shop beside where we felt very paiseh because the owner who was the good friend of ming's dad did not want to accept our money.

Back to Ming's place for telly, spent the night reading storybooks of mr kiasu, oogling at photos of pretty girls and webcamming with Junwen till midnight before leaving.

Been encountering weird things recently, like sitting on a bench in town and stoning before realising like half a minute later that the two boys who were waving in my direction were Longfen and Kenchuan. What was more hilarious was that they were both about the same height, wearing formal wear and waving their hands at me at the same height, and they thought I ignored them on purpose.

Then today I was making my way along this narrow pathway to the toilet at Wisma when this girl who was walking my opposite direction called out my name. Holy moley it was Grace, you know, the lower secondary ex-classmate who has transformed from a decent looking councillor back in school to this scary girl with her hair tied to a side plait, wearing a short grey tunic and BOOTS. I thought I was the wild one back then, doesn't make someone anymore decent just because he/she is studying in a good local university does it? Glynnie please don't get offendeddd.

That night I dreamt that one of my homeboys grabbed my hand so tightly and we walked together over a short distance and the warmth I felt from his hand was so scaringly real. Don't even try to ask me who he is even if I'm in the best of mood.

The gastric flu hasn't left, so I went to see another doctor and got myself more pills to finish, damn. I should just stick to porridge next week.

Alright, so I finally got down to blogging.

Yesterday I hung out with Tiffany ([info]ibiteroar), who was quite nice and no, she doesn't bite, nor roar. But yes, she's very tall, much to my dismay. It was quite a fun outing. We "discussed" certain interesting people and I found that we're kinda similar, in the sense that we will not bother being nice/acting as if we like certain people when we don't like them. And of course. by "discussing", I meant that we were bitching.

Along the way, we came across this particular girl who's also a blogshop owner. I must say she's quite a turn off because she was really snobbish and arrogant. You know how some people just exude that air about them? Really, I find it quite mockable when normal people act as if they're really high and mighty.

Look, if you're filthy rich/hot, then maybe you have a 1% right of being arrogant. But if you're just normal and you act like you're something, then that's quite funny.

Moving on. We also talked about the annoying flamers on [info]scarletroom. Ah, some people just have no life really. I think it's quite a feat to churn out collection after collection every week. It's really not easy and I know how much effort goes into each collection. Instead of appreciating, there are some mindless people posting nasty anonymous comments. Childish and annoying, seriously.

In any case, the new[info]scarletroom collection will be released at 930 thereabouts, tonight. So please support them! The items in this collection are really pretty and I took some of the photos so go see! Right, amateur photog getting excited over nothing.

Right, and random pictures from different days.

10th july: Dinner at Crystal Jade, Takashimaya with joey, amanda, jocelyn, lydia, kaijun and louis, had a really great time with them over xiao-long-bao loving, good talk at the end of the day at the mrt station, let's just hope that things will get better.

11th july: Town after work to find kathy-o, got my Swarovski handphone accessory from her and I was happy happy happy :))) and we went home together at the end of the day.

12th july: Work in the morning, went down to Raffles City with yizhen who needed to pass something to jacyln, and it was towning till evening when she left (after she abused my orh ceh so many many times) and I went to find kathy-o at work while daryl and daniel came down. Free Swaroski jewelry box from her manager, whoppeedoo, the boys and I went to find leslie and his girl and we went down to Funan for dinner at Sakae Sushi.

Uber full, we left the building and saw this massive group of malay gangstas running out and supposingly chasing some one/people, now that's a first on seeing gang fights of different racial group. Back to Plaza Singapura to meet 3 of their friends, 11.30pm slot of Red Cliff (which lasted till about 3am) and first row seats were ^$%@^$%, story was really good with war and stuff, but damn the ending!!

13th july: Met up with choonhuat and daryl at Tampines where we took the shuttle down to IKEA for breakfast and the boys were free labour for the day because they helped me carry a table and a wooden weaved chair back to my place in the afternoon. Went down to the Esplanade for a Magic Box stage play with jingting, zhenlin, glyn, her mom and her little sister. Must be fate la because adam, who was watching the same play and sitting like few seats beside me, spotted me and came over during the interval zomg zomg zomg like how coincidental + his little nephew is a tiny cutie!

Fine dining at Dempsey Hill, P.S. Cafe, glyn's mom treated us to good food till we were so so full and by the way, I still don't understand why Dempsey seems so popular when it's really quite ulu and unappealing to me.

To jacq & beien: hello meet up soon!

I know it's only 811am in the morning but I've been awake for the last hour or so. It is amazing because I don't usually wake up so early, automatically. In any case, I didn't sleep well. My eye's a bit puffy (no I did not cry), my left leg's sore and I feel weird. But I am so very awake. I figured I might as well use my time well and do some research on my crazy modules before heading out today. It looks like a pretty nice morning to sleep in but when all you've got in bed, is a fluffy and balding monkey + half bitten piglet toy + a sore eye + an aching leg, sleeping in doesn't seem like a pretty option anymore. Oh well. There'll be more mornings like this anyway.

And courtesy of wy's best friend, I've got a new userpic! It's so cute and it matches the little green hearts! :)
